This site was designed to be read.

The design philosophy behind the site is simple: What if webdesign continued to be focused on readability and information sharing, rather than shifting towards apps and social engagement? What if the modern web acted like the early web, only better?

So that's what I'm trying to do. Make a site that exists to display text. No cookies, no informaiton harvesting, no forced interaction or click bait. I write what I want, and you read it or not. I respect your time by not trying to trick you into reading something just so I can shove a few ads in your face and sell your browsing habits to a third party.

That's it.

Part of the design plan was to make this site work on pretty much anything which can display a webpage, and work well enough. That's why it looks so simple, because it is. CSS exists to enhance the look, not define it. This site has been tested on lynx, Netscape 4, Netscape 7, and modern Chrome and Mozilla browsers. It works - and looks - just about the same no matter where you view it.

Simple and clean, that's what we're going for.
